What is a JIFU Buddypass?

By JIFU Buddy Pass, JIFUtravel, Travel Tips No Comments

Unsold inventory hurts the bottom line. Empty seats, unsold rooms, and unrented cars must be sold, even if it’s at prices well below retail. Travel providers secretly share their unsold remnant inventory to online travel providers.

How can JIFU offer average discounts of 33-44% savings on hotels compared to the big name websites? It’s simple, we all get access to hotels, condos, excursions, activities, cruises, and rental cars from the same place at the same prices. To make a profit and pay for advertising, other “discount” travel sites mark the prices up. At JIFU, we take those savings and pass them directly on to you, our members.

If JIFU doesn’t mark up the prices like the other sites, how does JIFU and its Member Affiliates make money? Instead of marking your prices way up like the other sites, JIFU is a month-to-month membership with prices as low as $25 for unlimited travel benefits and full access to hotels, condominiums, theme parks, excursions, rental cars, cruises and more.

The Road Less Traveled

By JIFUtravel, Travel Tips No Comments

Here at JIFU, we want you to explore your world and expand your own epic life, and its never too early to start planning. Here are ten of the most incredible places that are often overlooked or skipped over because they can be more difficult to get to. However, as any wanderlusting person knows, the road less traveled often leads to the most astonishing locations and experiences.

1. Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa

Tsitsikamma National Park is part of the greater Garden Route National Park in South Africa. This hidden gem has everything an adventurer could ever want. There are forests that back themselves up to a gorgeous ocean view where you can watch a variety of marine wildlife. The Otter Trail is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the world, full of breathtaking views.

2. Sarandë, Albania

This location is full of historical sights and stunning views. Though it is a quintessential Mediterranean town, the beaches and sights are secluded and private, a far cry for the crowded touristy Greek island of Corfu, which is more well known. Explore ancient ruins or lounge near the blue waters of the Mediterranean sea.

3. Anguilla

The island of Anguilla offers everything that the other Caribbean Islands do…except the massive quantities of people who flock there. Anguilla is the perfect place for the individuals who want to dive off the beaten path, but also enjoy their fair share of pampering. The beaches are gorgeous, but the people are even better!

4. Valparaíso, Chile

If you’re a bigger fan of exploring cities, rather than the great outdoors, Valparaíso is ideal for you, though there is plenty of nature to enjoy as well. This is a city full of historical, colorful architecture which is sure to inspire joy and fascination. Check out the famous seafood and relaxed surfing culture.

5. Historic Villages of Shirakawa-gō and Gokayama, Japan

If you are looking for a get-away that really is off the beaten path, look no further than the historic and remote villages of Shirakawa-gō and Gokayama. These villages are located in the Shogawa River Valley near the daunting Northern Alps. The rustic architecture, incredible historical lore, and stunning landscapes make the journey well worth it.

6. Ladakh, India

Welcome to another mountainous get-away, this time located in India between the Karakoram and Himalayan mountains. The craggy cliffs make it a perfect location for mountaineers, but the rich culture of the people, who are mostly Tibetan Buddhist. In fact, JIFU offers several deals on tours of the gorgeous temples that abound.

7. Oedo Botania, South Korea

Oedo Botania is located on a once barren island that was transformed into a majestic and diverse botanical garden. The island is covered in gorgeous foliage that fills the air with the sweet smell of flowers. This unique spot is truly a hidden gem, accessible only by a 20-minute ferry from the nearby Geoje-si island.

8.Assateague Island, Virginia and Maryland, United States

Assateague Island is a 37 mile long island along the coasts of both Maryland and Virginia. The island is a preserved National Seashore was created to protect the coast, meaning that the white sandy beaches are pristine and nearly untouched. Aside from outdoor recreation and incredible bird watching,  Assateague is known for its wild ponies who have survived on the island for centuries and bring an interesting flair to the otherwise nautical landscape.

9. Island of Gozo, Malta

Part of the Maltese archipelago, Gozo is full of interesting history if you can look past the idyllic waters and white beaches. The island is full of sleepy towns people and quaint beach towns, but Gozo is actually Calypso’s Isle that is described in Homer’s Odyssey. Visitors are able to go scuba diving and snorkeling, but, since the location is only accessible by ferry, it is far less crowded than the bigger islands nearby.

10. León, Nicaragua

Though Leon is Nicaragua’s second largest city, world travelers often skip over the beautiful art and history that can be found there (much to their detriment). The city and people are known for being authentic, which, of course, translates into a very special authentic experience for any lucky visitor. The gorgeous people, stunning architecture, and jaw-dropping landscapes make for a perfect adventurous vacation hidden in plain sight.

Sanitary Stay: Cleaning Policies in Hotels

By JIFUtravel, Travel Tips No Comments

When traveling, for leisure or professionally, a hotel room is supposed to be our safe haven and offer respite from a long work day or many hours full of adventure. You expect the best because you deserve the best, and your standards have probably risen in reaction to the global pandemic.

In turn, the largest hotel corporations have also enacted strict sanitization policies to protect their guests. JIFU partners with the most trusted in the business to bring you great deals on incredible places to stay, even in these times.

Marriott International works closely with trusted organizations like the CDC and WHO to make sure they are following guidelines. Out of this has sprung their “Commitment to Clean” manifesto. As Marriott puts it, they are “committed to providing you with a safe environment that aligns with expert protocols.”

Another hospitality company that JIFU offers discounts on is Hyatt, who have also created a new set of cleanliness standards. This is their “Global Care and Cleanliness Commitment,” where they promise enhanced levels of sanitization.

Many hotels are increasing accessibility to contactless check-in. As Hilton details in their April 2020 press release, guests are able to check-in online and get a mobile room key. Specifically, Hilton has created what they call “Hilton CleanStay with Lysol Protection.” This is a partnership  with RB, makers of Lysol® & Dettol®*,  in an effort to maintain a high level of cleanliness.

Hotels and hospitality venues have expanded and strengthened their sanitization protocols and policies to put your worries to rest. The way that we travel has changed, but adventure still awaits those who yearn for it.

Overcoming Adversity & Continuing Strength

By JIFU Success, JIFUlife, Personal Development, Uncategorized No Comments

What drives us here at JIFU? Doing fun and challenging things with amazing people, of course!

The team comes together to tackle the dangerous Brundage Mountain trail on mountain bikes. Lui, Brett, Jeffery, and Doug share their experience on the black diamond trial, and not everything goes to plan. Sometimes even our best laid plans fail, and its important to be flexible. When you fall, stand up, dust yourself off, and get back on the bike.

Through popped tires, gnarly falls, and jagged cliffs, the JIFU team exemplifies overcoming diversity as they make it successfully to the end.  Its important to understand that the road may not be straight and perfectly paved, but, by combining grit and resilience with a growth mindset, you will come out on the other side even better than before.  Your hardest times often lead to your most successful achievements.

JIFUtravel Will Save You Money

By Travel Motivation, Travel Tips No Comments

Don’t think JIFU Travel can save you money on your next vacation? Think again!!

This video introduces us to Savannah and Ashley, two adventurous ladies who love to travel. They share the same passion for exploration, but they have one massive difference….Ashley is a JIFU member. The two went on the exact same vacation, but Ashley saved 40% as compared to Savannah, who thought that JIFU’s deals were too good to be true(big mistake).

Here’s how it works:  when a hotel, rental car, airline or cruise ship has vacancies, they upload them to a database at a huge discount. Then the travel sites, including JIFU, get special access to these highly discounted rates. The big sites mark the prices up for their customers, JIFU doesn’t.

With a JIFU monthly membership, members access that SAME inventory with NO markup. JIFU members score with deals not available to the public. This way, members know they are getting the best deal out there with no surprise markups at the end of the checkout process.

Ashley saved enough money to stay another three days, all thanks to JIFU. Don’t be like Savannah and get started FREE with JIFU today!

Air Travel Safety

By Travel Motivation, Travel Tips No Comments

You’ve planned your next trip and you’re excited to finally scratch that travel itch, but you’re unsure what the “new normal” at the airport will be. Not to worry! We have gathered some of the most helpful tips that will prove beneficial to any traveler and don’t forget to read our post about pre-travel preparation packing list. Each airport is doing different things to ensure the safety of their passengers, but these universal recommendations will make your flight more relaxing and enjoyable.

Touchless Check-in

Let's start at the beginning: check-in. Most airports and air transportation companies will have touchless options, which can not only reduce your exposure to surface germs, but can make on-boarding even faster than usual. This includes getting an online boarding pass, prepaying baggage fees, and printing your own luggage tags.

Screening Process (American TSA)

Yes, screening is still required, but there are a few changes to be aware of. Every passenger is now permitted to have one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 ounces in a carry-on bag. Another notable change is that personal belongings like keys, phones, and wallets should be placed in your carry-on bag instead of the bin to avoid cross-contamination. TSA agents are also being required to wear face masks and shields, as well as change their gloves after every pat down.

Air Circulation

By now you’ve made it into the plane and you’re ready for the flight, but you may still be concerned about the air quality in the cabin. Nearly all airplanes have filters that take 99.9% of contaminated particles from the air, while bringing in fresh outside air. Take note: it is a myth that airplanes recycle 100% of the air. In fact, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency found that the air in the cabin of the plane is similar or better to the air quality in normal indoor environments.

Limited Cabin Capacity

Airlines are also taking precautions by limiting the capacity of each flight. Most major airlines are operating at 50-60% capacity as compared to other years. To ensure proper social distancing, some airlines are blocking people from sitting in middle seats. This also means that there are less tickets available, so it would be beneficial to buy tickets from our Travel Portal in advance to make sure you snag a seat.

Personal Health Questions

Be prepared to answer some questions about your personal health, before and after your flight. Depending on where you are, where you are going, and what your airline of choice is, you may have to provide some information or temperature screening. Do your research (or stay up to date with this blog) to see the requirements of your destination. Save yourself any surprises by making sure that you have a normal body temperature, and never fly when you are sick.

These are just a few pieces of advice that will help you know what to expect when traveling domestically or internationally. Airlines are doing what they can to make sure that their passengers are safe, whether visiting a exotic location or flying to see loved ones, and JIFU is no different. We want you to live life to its fullest potential, all while adapting to our transforming world.
